Covid killed off a good number of pool halls, esp west side. Pretty much gotta drive out to Mississauga or Scarborough to play in a nice place with good tables. I used to have 3 places within 15min, down to 1....the worst one.
The comeback aspect is real in that they are packed now. But the lower number of pool halls compared to 3yrs ago may have as much a role in that as the popularity of home tables and the game growing as the article suggests.
