Jekyl & Hyde.. high park area has a sweet state of the art set-up with both CPA & TAP leagues.. 8 & 9 ball.

Wacky Wings in Mississauga (Dundas & Dixie) has about twenty Diamond 9 footers and a handicapped tournament every Sunday at 2pm. Very high level of play at this tournament.

Thumbs uo for Jekyl n Hyde. Probably best setup in Toronto right now.

Places to play in Toronto

ATTENTION ALL POOL PLAYERS

Mid to late June a new club will be opening with 30 Diamond pool tables. The club is called THE CORNER BANK and will have leagues of all kinds and is already taking submissions for interested players. And there will be a cut off on the number of players taken so register early through the submission form on their website: www.thecornerbank.ca

Guaranteed this will be THE place to play in the city.

Drop in and check it out when you are in the area. It will be located at Ashtonbee and Warden, one set of lights north of Eglinton Ave. You will be happy you did.

Jim, is the Corner Bank open yet? If not, is there an ETA? It is not clear at all from the website.

There have been delays opening The Corner Bank to say the very least.
Between the inspections and permits and the delays associated with every little change
on the plans we had submitted to city hall that we have made during set up,
it has been frustrating.
I wish I had a dollar for every time we have been asked about our opening time lol.

The club is starting to take shape now with all the pool and snooker tables set up with the lighting and about 90% of the renovating, painting etc completed.
Now its the finishing touches in the kitchen and the furnishings around the venue.
The A/V system will all be in place by the18th of July.
It promises to have as good of playing conditions and equipment as there is around. All professional standard.

We welcome anybody to stop by and have a quick preview of the club and see what it will present to the players and clientele. John will be coordinating all the league interests and I know he has had plenty of people asking about them.

So to make a long story short a best case scenario for our soft opening would be early to mid August. A worst case scenario is late August to early September. There will be a grand opening scheduled very likely in Sept/Oct with another scheduled next spring in conjunction with the opening of our new patio of 3000 sq. ft.

I'm hoping to get updated photos and information on our website very soon at: www.thecornerbank.ca

Looking forward to seeing everybody there - while we are still young.........

Best to all,

Jim

Thanks for the update, Jim. Perhaps post something in August when you finally have a fixed opening date. I'd love to check the place out.
