Touching the cloth with hands or cue?

Guess what? The pros use the diamonds. It part of the table and has been for what? 100 years?

I call bullshit. If you are that good, get your ass out on tour. I'm betting you are using the diamonds. And I'll also bet you are using a system for your 2 and 3 rail kicks. Probably spot on the wall for the three rail. Don't tell me you don't have your own system.
I wouldn't hinder my game with systems...they are fools gold. Top pros don't use the diamonds. It's all about feeling the angles. You can never be as accurate with a system because the system breaks down with so many variables. Heck you could line up perfectly with your "system" and then hit it harder or lighter or with slightly different english and get a different result. So what's the point...its like aiming systems total wot. I posted a video of why Ruiz missed trying to do the parralell shift system for a kick. He should have felt that he was coming under the object ball...if you rely on a system you are essentially shooting blind. So the only system that works is sams...shoot a million shots. Sorry for you guys looking for shortcuts. If you start playing young enough then this stuff becomes natural...I grew up with a pool table.

Yes at the pro level...this isn't paint by numbers. You shouldn't need them...I can hit 1,2,3 rail kicks all day long without using the diamonds as a guide. I mean if you use a diamond system, same like if you use an "aiming" system, then I know right away you can't play at my level, so I don't really care, but its embarrassing for the game.
Are you saying that pro's do not use aiming systems?? All aiming is some sort of "system". I also suspect there are quite a few pro's who use CTE/Pro 1, you can tell by how they line up on the shot before approaching the table. I'm sure that there are other "systems" the pro's use too. Even if they have hit so many balls that they can automatically put their bridge hand in the exact location that it needs to be they likely started out using some sort of ":system" and may resort back to it just to double check their alignment from time to time.

All of the pros "aiming" is done standing up. How do you guys not know this? This is why I don't understand aiming systems...you arent aiming once you are down on the shot lol.

SVB has to be down to aim his stroke. I try not to even need to adjust in the shooting position but it's a work in progress. The point with all these systems is consistency by consistent references. The hypothetical guy you claim to be will drift out of balance and screw up. It's 10 ahead and 7 down - you. Do you even know where your stroke went?

Pros don't use diamonds? Bull! They use them constantly. They just know how to adjust for different conditions.
