Tough market to move this Joss

I'm still looking to move this 70's Joss. Yes, it is unmarked. I've done everything in my power and everyone's help on here to authenticate it . However, the contacts I was given led me nowhere. I own a poolroom in Baton Rouge and Mike Johnson (maker of Jensen cues) is a regular in my establishment. He is willing to put his 30+ year reputation on the line to verbally authenticate this cue if someone is interested. I'm looking to sell the cue outright for $1,350 or take a trade of equal or greater value. Its a 3 point with an Ivry joint in perfect condition with Ivry ferrules on both shafts. The butt weighs 15.2 oz. The original shaft is 29.5", 11.9 mm and weighs 3.8 oz. The shaft built by Mike Johnson weighs 4.4 oz., is 13 mm and is 30' long.

Why Not Send Email To Dan Janes? (I Know Why Not)

Hello, The normal recourse in this situation of trying to identify the cue as being a Joss should be to forward an email with pics to DanJanes, at Joss. I realize, however, that you may have already tried this, without success. Mr. Janes reply would be, "I can build you one just like it, for $ xyz dollars." I know this because I tried to get the model number of a late 80's, gold-lettered Joss, and that was his exact reply. On a good note, he still makes a very nice cue, and the Joss website has an archives section which is very resourceful. Regards, Glen (strum4u)

yea it looks like a joss east cue. the shafts dont match up. you should stipulate which is the original in the picture. and be very clear when you state it is in perfect condition.

I can see what you mean. I know the cue isn't in perfect condition. I was trying to specify that the ivry joint was in perfect condition

definitely looks like a josswest he didn't mark some of his cues for a few years in early years he made some of the same style as that one with marks maybe send pics to bill or some predecessor?

I'm 90% sure it is a early 70s JOSS. It is possibly a JW but most of the time the JW logo is not lost. Sometimes the year & name is on the handle under the wrap. If the wrap is not original it may be beneficial to get a new wrap & check. I'm sure you hate to do it but....
