I've been tasked with sourcing or writing a tournament management solution. What I need to be able to do is run a multi table event (40 tables) where the competitors log in and update their results from the tables as their matches progress.
Secondly, what I also need is a team solution also. For example, we are playing an eleven man team event where the match is the best of three sets. Each manager prepares his first eleven, then submit them to each other (and to the top table) and then progress results as the match continues. They repeat the process for the second and third sets.
I'm presuming some sort of intranet and a (probably) SQL database.
Before I re-invent the wheel. Are there solutions out there? Has anyone had a bash at this before?
Is there anything decent and robust for sale even?
