What does anyone know about casinos adding money and perks for pool tournament operations.... any detail would be helpful as i am on the verge of asking for a max package from a casino. I want to know limits.....thought or advice please

Casinos are not in the business of handing out free money, its more like what are you going to give them , not what are they going to give you.

Try Grady. He put on an event at the Grand Casino in Gulfport. It was a good turnout, and a great tourney. It was just one of those holidays where you are having such a great time that you know you have to go back. Sadly it was all lost to Katrina. But, try Grady he knows alot about Casino tourney.

Ask for as much as possible. A common offer from the Casino's is $35 per head brought into the event. Ask for a little bit more and remind them that you are the one bringing the lambs to the slaughter.

we would be bringing over 1000 people to event that is abenifit to the casino

Exactly, bring a proposal to them with how many room rentals gauranteed (do your homework on that first among players) , tell them you want to work with them on a coupon book for all the players that would have discounts to their restaurants , shops , shows, gambling etc..the purpose is to keep all their money within the casino. Approach it with what you can do for them.

Casino tourny

You may want to try and get ahold of Tony Zierman. He runs the Midwest Casino Pool Tour around here. I am sure he could be very helpfull. PM for his number.

I have talked with people that have done casino events and I'd say make a STRONG presentation. Let them know how many, what they spend, for how long, and what they need to keep them IN the casino/hotel. They don't care if it's a tiddly winks tourney...if the people show up and spend money....you should be able to work something out....these events go way back to the Star Dust dayz.....call Grady, He's the man!
