I was reading a recent post in the back from the dead IPT thread & it got me thinking, you see the poster said that because of US law KT couldn't sell the IPT to a potential buyer in the gaming industry because gambling in the US is as we know illegal but & this is my question:
Barry Hearn brings the Mosconi Cup to the US every other year & it is sponsored by party gaming (you guessed it a gaming company) & under US law there is as far as I know a clause prohibiting the promotion of a sporting event or otherwise using gaming companies as a catalyst to bring awareness of said event to the masses within the 50 United States.
So what I would like to know is how does Barry Hearn get around this where other promoters can't i.e KT & the aforementioned Philippine business tycoon.
