Tournament Table Setup Help: How Many Table Can I Get In This Room?

Hi Folks...I need some help in determining how many pool tables I can get into the ballroom of a hotel I'm doing a tournament in. It's the same hotel ballroom that we did the Glass City Open in Toledo, OH. Some of you guys are are a lot smarter than I am at doing this. I used to know the square footage rule per table (I think it is 200 sq ft per table), but I have misplaced my notes when I moved.

Information:

Tables: 7-foot Diamond Smart Tables

Ballroom dimensions: 58-ft wide x 97-feet long. There are three separate ball rooms that open into one. In two spots (break the room into thirds), where each room opens into the next room, the doors retract into the wall but it sticks out into the ballroom 4-feet x 3-feet.

Player Seating: 10 people at each table. 2-people shooting and 8-people sitting. Either a 6-ft or 8-ft banquet table.

This room is a rectangle. I appreciate any help you can give me:thumbup:.

This might give you some ideas. 97x58, 7ft diamonds,57in cues,96x36 tables.

Each table needs at least 12'X8' plus 5' at the end of the row. So about 96 square feet per table. Going with 4 tables wide by 11 long would leave you 44 tables with minimal room for seating.

With appropriate seating and tables for drinks and food you're probably looking at 12' X 12' per table. So that would be 4 tables wide X 8 long. 32 tables max. For the banquet table take 2-4 out. That would leave 28 tables.

So it really depends if comfort is more important or if you would rather get the maximum amount of tables.
