I want to try some different areas/players, but of course all of the web sites that list rooms and tournaments, are out-dated, listing tours and rooms that have not been around for half a decade. I think even the tournament area on AZBilliards does not have current info on many tours which may or may not be running.

Anyone have any info on a regular tournament or a traveling one in the N.E. area? I would like it to be around 1 hr from central MA give or take a bit if possible. I know about the Wed evening one in Snookers, and the Tue one in The Billiards Cafe.

There is one at Ivory Billiards in Holyoke on Wednesday nights. Usually starts around 7:30. Couple good A players in it along with some like me who are trying to break through. Usually around 8ish people so its not that big but its fun.

Low level action after usually too but its mostly just for shits and giggles. A couple of the guys might be willing to play for big action though if you ask nicely.

Wed I usually head to Snookers if I can get out of work early enough. Although Holyoke is about an hour away, Mass Pike heading that way is often hell to drive on, especially with a 5-speed.

How is the pool hall generally though? I see a web site but no info on what type of tables, how many, etc...

The fan club in Wareham Before the bridge.
M D Promotions is always posting tournaments. Mark is a good guy trying to promote pool and his tour.

Thanks, I see they have a Sunday tournament at 1, is that all ages? I'd like to take my son with me.

The website sucks but the poolhall itself is amazing. They have about 7 9 foot Gold Crowns with Simonis 860 and the rails are all very nice. The people that own the hall are very well respected table mechanics and you can tell when you play on the tables. Even the barboxes have Simonis 860 on them and they refelt all the tables every few years as money permits.
