Tournaments in the N Alabama area

I am going to be in N Alabama for a few weeks in May possibly into June. Are there any tournaments, preferrably 8 ball, worth getting into there?
 
Florence is where I will be most of the time.

Is Bumpers where they have the free tournament? I saw where one place has one of those and you only win 50 bux or something like that.

Its a little more local than AZ and you will be able to get some information.
Southern Billiards is a pool room in Miss but has many people from AL
that visit.

Its David Rowells site.
He is a cuemaker and player in Birmingham and will know the scene all over the south.
You might even take a look at a cue of his while you are in the area.
If your looking to gamble he will match up or find someone for you as well.
 
I'm also close to the AL state line. But you're going to be way west of me.
 
I got a call last night that there is going to be a $1000 added bar table tournament at Charlies Lounge in Soddy Daisey, Tn (near Chattanooga) the last weekend of May. Only a $20.00 entry fee. Split quarters.

There's always alot of action around Chattanooga, and many excellent players come in for the tournaments.

Also, Diamond Billiard Club in Chattanooga (not too far from the North Alabama line) has 3 good weekly tournaments on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. They also have 2 monthly $1000 added tournaments. 9-ball is the first weekend of the month, and 8-ball is the 3rd weekend of teh month. You can visit them at www.diamondbilliardclub.com.
