TPA App now available.....

OK I have been trying to recover from Derby so excuse me if this has been mentioned already....

Pat Fleming worked with a program developer over the last year to create an app for scoring yourself the same exact way that we score the Accu-Stats matches....

It is fairly simple to use and there are plans in the works to tie in to a national database where you can store your results and look up the results of other users...

I am always amazed after someone shoots anything over a 950 and I can still recall Ralf Souquet coming up to me and asking what he shot after a match with his own guess... I think he guessed like a 930 and had shot a 932... Made me realize that if he was calculating it in his head that closely he probably used the TPA in his practice sessions....

Anyway the app can be found on the Accu-Stats website at Accu-Stats.com... Go check it out.. Everyone should know what TPA is and how to calculate it if you want to know where you stand and where you need to improve to take Shane out at the Open this year of your best friend Billy Jack at the ApA singles in 3 months....

I have answered a ton of questions on the TPA over the last few years and am still willing to do so if anyone wants to know what the programming behind the app does.....

Finally. :)

I will say, I do wish there was 1 app that covered it all, but I guess that might be cumbersome to develop.

I'll jump on a couple of these when I can.

Is there not an iPhone app? Do I have to go to the website each time I want to use it? I tried looking in the App Store and couldn't find anything.

Chris,
Was wondering what the differences are between the pro and amateur versions of the app?
Thanks for your help

The amateur version says...."Oh, hard luck...and you play well for working
40 hours a week."

TPA, by the way, means Total Performance Average

sometimes I feel like I'm drowning in alphabet soup...

Purchased and quickly followed up with a request for refund. This is not an app. It is a form on a website that calculates the data you enter. If it was a true "app" (something I could download to my phone and operate it from there) I would purchase it.

*Edit - Not trying to knock anyone, but $9.95 is completely unjustified for what it is. Even if it was an actual app it would not do well at that price point.

You are correct that it is not an app but a site based form... The idea behind the site based form is that it will be easier to create and manage a database going forward... If it was an app I guess it could upload data at the end of the session... I was not involved in the development so I will have to ask questions on that front like everyone else.... I hope you took the time to relay your reasoning for the refund request as feedback will be crucial in going forward with a product that people will use and get value from....

The pro version is the version developed using the TPA formulas and decision tree from Pat Fleming at Accu-Stats... The amateur version was not and I am unaware of the programming behind it.....
