This person was last logged in today at 7:54pm so obviously this was a shady deal.
^^-- Stand up guy in my book. Not many would would step to the plate as he did and call himself out.I will save the confusion here and call my self out to all fellow az members. With a little added info on my behalf. I would be the last person to try to screw anyone over or try to misrepresent anything. I have tried contacting the iownthe412, 2 times by email and once on here with no response back. So I just assumed that after my detailed email I guessed everything was ok until I see this posting. Here is a copy of my email and az transaction letters.

I think the cue is in great to excellent condition. No it's not new or mint. I'm aware of one very small mark in the forearm but ariel did tell me its in the finish and could be buffed out. As far as the butt of the cue I know there is some very light chips in the very bottum of the cue. Ariel said that he could refinish it too but didn't think is was really worth it unless I wanted to whole cue to look brand new or in mint condition. I did get the downey today. There is one very small chip in the butt end below the wrap and to me it looks like both shafts have been played with. One with light blue in color and the other has been used but cleaned up very well. These things are not issue's to me. If you want to get technical about conditions. Great/Excellent, New/mint, Unchalk/never shot with etc. I personally feel value wise cue to cue it was a very fair trade. I can purchase a new Downey for 795.00 and pay less than 100 to have a steel joint added. When I talked to ariel and got a market value the Carmelli. Ariel gave me a used market value of 1200 in the condition it is in. I'm not a fan of the leather wrap and wanted a Downey again because I like the hit of Troy's cues. Sometimes I downgrade even in value to get a cue as long as it's in reason. I'm sorry that there was a communication difference in wording and I really don't know what you want to do to rectify the situation. Let me know

Scott,
I just received the Carmelli and I must say I do like the cue,
however, the butt of the cue is not as described at all. The finish
on the bottom of the butt is chipping off and there are some dings in
the forearm. In your email, which I have attached below, states that
the butt is in excellent condition. The butt of the cue is not
something I or anyone else would consider excellent. The butt needs
to be refinished which will cost me approx. $100 done by James White.
I am really not trying to be a jerk but I sent you a 98% cue for an
80% Carmelli. Please let me know what we can do to rectify this
situation.
Thanks,
Ian
Here are some spec's on my cue.
6pt high/low, Macassar ebony into gabon or african ebony, veneers are
natural, green and orange, lizard print leather wrap by lomax, 3/8 x
10 flat faced phenolic joint, right at 19oz with either shaft, new
ferrules and medium black jack tips from ariel 2 weeks ago.
The butt is in excellent condition. Just got the shafts back from
areil. The shafts are in great shape. One is dead nuts straight and
the other has a slight taper roll (the tip or the joint doesn't leave
the table). Just wanted to be straight up. It doesn't affect the play
and still hits great! I just got my Olney back from Jeff and used to
have a Downey and would like another one so my wife can start
shooting. She don't like the leather wrap and I'm not much of a fan of
them either.
My name is Scott. Feel free to give me a call. I live in eastern Ia.

Hopefully for all this shows that I have tried communicating and that I'm by far trying to avoid iownthe412 or the situation here on Az. There's allot of great members on this forum and I enjoy being a member and looking at all the great cue's and info found on here. It really suck that the economy is so terrible on cue's and everything else.
