Transparent Cueball

I'm going to try a place that my have the proper lighting this Tuesday. I think I have all the bugs worked out of my camera's power requirement to produce the quality I want for the sustained low light environment.

The hardest part has been making a tripod to hold both the Laser and the White LED without any major angle variance.

I respect this board very much and don't want to show crap. I'm working on giving you quality with the tools I have at hand. Thank you for your patience.
 
Here it is Wednesday, and I still have nothing to show. I had everything with me, but where I chose set up at, had something else planned. It's usally dead that night, but appearently they changed the date without my knowledge.

Ended up playing 38 most of the night, with a little bit of nine ball thrown in.

Give me a few more days, video will be on the way. I'm trying to stay within my 20 day window.
 
All I can say is "Wow".

Watching the changes of attack angles, and imagining the differences of what force applied, makes for a definite improvement opportunity.

I think I'll be able to wet myself once I have all this figured out. :_

I finally have a day off to go and do this right tomorrow without any time contrastraints. I've allowed myself over 5 hours at this attempt, if it doesn't work now, then somebody else will have to pick up the slack.

How many times have you heard that before?

Listening to The Days Grace "Overrated" while writing this doesn't help, but it also gives me a reason to see through to fulfill my promise.

I'll either look like an ass (which is usual), or confirm Renegade's idea. I hope it's the latter.

Not sure what it shows, but I tried Renegade's idea out to see what would happen. Here's some of the results.

Some are large (16.2 meg), and some are small (2 meg +), and all are in .AVI format.

In some of the clips I have the light on, then while the orbs are stationary, I turn out the lights and try the same aiming.

Seeing how the lights reflect off the surfaces (inside and outside) of the orb sort of puts into perspective how important a level stroke can be.

You can right click on the link and do a "Save target as" if you don't want to wait to view it now and save it to your hard drive, jump drive, ipod, or whatever you want to store it to.

Hope you enjoy them as much I enjoyed testing this out.
