Trav a Dial lens replacement?

I dropped a tool on my trav a dial and cracked the lens. A piece fell inside and is obstructing the needle and I'm afraid to use it that the needle will bind on the glass shard and bend or break.

Does anyone know how to remove the lens on these? At the very least I would like to remove that broken piece until I can get a new glass.

They didn't have a replacement but did tell me how to take it off.

The lens is glued inside the aluminum ring. I stuck a pick through the hole at the edge and pried and it came right off.

Looks like E bay has one
