Mike is obviously one of the most caring & sensitive men of integrity I have encountered in almost 7 decades on this planet.

Despite the fact that I purchased a discounted version of his cue, most likely manufactured in Asia, in a transaction with a vendor, which did not benefit him & for which he bore no responsibility- Mike was anxious to correct the situation.

In a telephone conversation, Mike advanced the hypothesis that the problem might actually originate in a defective joint. This afternoon I had the cue examined by a cue repair man who also owns a shop & played professionally. He independently confirmed Mike's hypothesis and offered to correct the poor workmanship for a minimal fee.

When I reach the point of replacing my playing cue, I will make the long interstate road trip to Mike's shop & have one built. In fact, any cues I acquire in the future will be built by him.

He told me the Asia unit I have was not his responsibility. Can I send mine back with yours?

I have two shafts to send as well.

Send any un-needed or un-wanted cues to me please. I can't play worth a lick, and am getting deafer by the day, so a few defects, warps, buzzes, and rattles will not affect me.

Dave, likes this new angle ;)
