'trick' shot from Pool Hall Junkies

a few yrs ago, after watching PHJ's a million times, I decided to try the 8ball shot.

So I set it up and bam on the first try i made it lol. But then couldnt make it any time after that lol.

The other one I like to try is the CB/9ball shot at the end of the movie.

I don't remember that one, could you diagram/describe it?
