I try to have a tip for every customer, so a few year ago I bought a box of Triumph tips. They have the red tip pad glued on the back. No one has ever wanted to try one, and I never got around to trying one out for myself. Well, finally a customer looks at my available stock of tips and wants one. I rough it up, and I use the Loctite Gel (rubberized). Have been for years with excellent results. I leave my tailstock pressed up against the tip a few minutes like normal. When I remove the tailstock, and start wiping glue from the ferrule/tip. The tip pops off in my hand. I tried two more times with the cyno gel, but the same thing happened. I used West epoxy with no problem. Just a little longer wait time. My question is, does anyone else use these tips, and do they have the same trouble I had with the cyno? The tip played good so I will encourage future use. I was just wandering if this was a common problem with this backed tip. Thanks in advance for the help... Mikey
