Duke-
I know of a guy who has about 5 or 6 TS sneaky petes. Some rosewood, some purple heart. If you're interested, PM me and I'll give you his phone number.

ok, for the replies I have recieved...thank you. one thing I guess I left out though, is I'd like the shaft(s) to be NO smaller that 12.75mm, but would RATHER have 13mm's. I have recieved a few pm's about shafts being 12mm, 12.25mm...etc, but I'm sorry it's just too small for me. I'm sure they play great though. thanks again,Jeff

Jeff, you're going to need a lot of luck finding one with full shafts. A Scruggs SP with little play and a full shaft(s) is a HIGHLY UNUSUAL find. They are all usually played to death, like many of the older Omegas. If you are dead-set on getting one, you may be better served to settle for a played one, and possibly go the refinish route and/or a replacement shaft, maybe DZ since you seem to like the play of his cues.

I think Ken at highendcues.com may have one, if you haven't checked with him yet.

Hey Jeff-
The guy I mentioned earlier (who has several) is a member here on AZ. He has done business with quite a few people here. And he can supply you pictures if you like. If you're interested, let me know and I'll give you the name. If not, no harm done.

hey pharaoh, I'd be interested in one of those TS sneaky petes, do you think you could hook me up with a number?

And while I'm at it, if you're looking for a TS sneaky that is at a full 13mm check out the pics below. I'm not looking to get rid of it in the sense that I need the money. It is, however, for sale though the price would be high but not unreasonable. The joint is super clean too, unlike many cues that have been well played, there's no gunk on the wood where the shaft/butt meet. It's only been test hit by the original owner and the finish is still extremely shiny; check out pic 4's reflection. PM me if you're interested.

Duke, look at mine...trade me the world and throw in some cash.......Joe

My link for 3 point Scruggs....

Hay all

Joe turns over cues sometimes for as little as $50.00. He is not out for a quick sale ever. He is a repeat seeller and wants to make everyone happy as possable. We go back and forth on lots of cues. It is almost impossable to find anyone in the world that will buy a cue and hold it and be happy with a $50 return.
I really don't think you want the cue I am getting for $1400 but if you do you may have it for that. Only because it is Joe. If this cue is what soured you on Joe then PM me and get it! The cue is valued at $2100.00 by Mike Cochran made 1982-83!
Thank Joe for it later!
Nick

Joe, I have to decline to you also, and I'll publicly tell you why. 1: it has a wrap and for 2: I'm not really satisfied how our last deal went through and the response I got from you was"oh, my bad...I tend to forget not everyone has access to a lathe, and I honestly didn't even look it over. I'll make sure to look our next deal". well, there probably won't be a "next" deal with me Joe. I get scorned easier than some, and that deal did it for me. why would you not look at something you were sending someone else? the tip that was on it was easily noticed, and the ferrule swelling could have been found if you just would have checked it. the cue other than these things was fine, but it only takes 1 minor thing to ruin someone's experience with someone else, and this had 2 I had to PAY for to fix. I did by the way send you a PERFECT used cue, and honestly it wasn't even that used. yes, the shaft was different than original, but it IS a DZ shaft with ivory and a med. moori for pete's sake. you made no effort to even say "send it back to me and I'll take care of this stuff for ya'", you just said "oh, my bad"...yeah, YOUR bad Joe. well, maybe in the future you'll check your things you're "getting rid of" to others and they won't have to rant like this to you in public. to be honest, I really don't like the scruggs anyways, and prefer not to trade my VALUABLE cues for something I don't even like. you think I've been harsh in this, feel free to pm me later, but this is now how I feel. I did my best to keep this out of "public" sight, but your offer for the NOW SOLD (isn't it?) scruggs did it in.

Jeff, I am sorry you feel that way. Your comment to me was that the tip was mushroomed and you could feel the edge of the ferrule. I did not notice it, BUT you also state here that you sold me a cue that was perfect, when you know for a fact that the shaft you sent me was not the original DZ shaft, that the fit was not correct at the joint, and that the black ring was significantly larger on the shaft than on the butt. I am in the process of having all of those items fixed, or fixing them myself. The items you refer to with the RK are very simple, and if they are there, a few minutes and sandpaper will fix it. The only way to remedy what you did to me is to have Bob Drzycky make me a new shaft to match the cue.

Here are the pictures...

Sounds like both of you had issues with the transaction...just chalk it up to experience and move on.

I personally have had dealings with both of you and all of them were flawless.

Now if someone had sent me a non-matching shaft, telling me the cue was perfect, I would be LIVID. And I am sorry, but a small thing like a mushroomed tip and a ferrule being slightly oversized is miniscule IMO.

My opinion and a dollar will buy you a cup of coffee anywhere, except for Starbucks ;)

I agree, and am currently mass producing your opinion in preparation for my new "International man of leisure" lifestyle.

thanks, but no. I had one of those ones and didn't like it...I don't think they're a "real" Tim Scruggs cue honestly. I know they have his TS "burned" into them, but they're not the same. I have seen real TS s/p's, and IMO those are not it.

Jeff, I'm curious, if that's not "the REAL" TS SP, what kind of TS SP are you looking? Got pics for "The REAL TS SP"? Post it please. It doesn't get any sneakier than that.

Thank's
Steve
