I took a flight last week aboard Delta Airlines. I called Delta the morning of the flight to ask if they would allow me to carry on my cues. I was told they were ok to carry on, so I showed up with case in hand and was told by TSA that they had suspended cues being allowed as carry ons. I wasn't happy but was polite as I had to pay to have it checked now, the lady at the counter offered to wrap it in plastic which helped. After my return my better half contacted Delta and explained what had happened and how it (the case) would've been in a travel case for protection had we known it needed to be checked. Delta responded quickly offering each of us vouchers to be used for travel with a 1 year expiration date. So if you or someone you know has had to check their cues I would reccomend you contact the airline. You never know what might be offered, Happy Trails.

Well the New Regulations, may, or may not be know of, allowed, or enforced. Depending if you deal with a TSA Official, who can read, and comprehend what they read.

This is good to know. My son is coming out via plane for part of the summer and I was gonna send him home with a cue. I'll call prior to sending him back with it. :thumbup:
Back in the day when I was skydiving all the time, I'd fly from NY to jump in Fl during cold winter months. No way was I risking having my $5k worth of skydiving gear getting lost in baggage and their insurance coverage wasn't enough to replace it. Airlines said it was okay to carry on. I'd sling it over my shoulders and shove it in the overhead compartment.
