thanks lisa....the blank isn't cored so i expect it to be on the heavy side...and lisa prather supplied the tulipwood....forward balance is why i had ebony in the nose and the combo idea came from my first custom made by dave bollman in virginia which had 8 pts of alternating tulipwood and ebony...24 slot rings of ebony and the veneer colors will be used in the shaft, joint collar and butt accented by trim rings in the veneer colors....a 3/8 10 flat faced wood to wood joint will be used and the joint pin will be made out of g10 material....the shaft will be 4.0 oz with a LBM ferrule and either a sniper or emerald tip...the collar and butt cap itself are going to be white aegis i believe....i can't wait for this cue to be finished!!Did they supply the tulip, or did you? Just curious, as they had no tulip back when I got my blank in December '08.
BTW...you're gonna LOVE how these completed blanks play! I love mine and wouldn't part with for anything!!
Lisa

Nice Cue dude  ..... just made sure to give me the first Shot when you once deceide to part with it
Berny
So how did the cue turn out? Question though....he did the conversion in about a couple of weeks? Isn't that way too fast to turn...shouldn't one let the cue rest between turns? I was under the assumption it would take about 2-3 months to turn a blank to size allowing rest periods between turns. Show us pics if you have some!!
thanks lisa!!! you're the best!...the cue turned out to be beautiful....and the fine folks at prather did a fantastic job with the blank!!
the buttcap and joint collar are made of elforyn or aegis....not ivoryWhat white material was used for the buttcap and shaft collars?
