Thought I'd give a shout out to any Az'ers going to Tunica in July. Rooms are available and CHEAP compared to Derby. I reserved a room at Harrah's for 2 at $48.00 per night plus tax. Four nights after tax total around $220.00. This is less than what I paid at the s#$%hole econolodge in Olathe,Ks. With the added tables and extra events, this outta be an awesome event.

Yes.....the room prices are higher on wkends, but reasonable nonetheless. Those of you that like the slots/blackjack/poker....etc. etc. should also check into " Comps ". Tunica is well known for their liberal comp policy, for both rooms and food. Dan

they are both the same distance to harrahs, actually they are located next to each other across the street from the venue.
let me clarify that. they are across the street from harrahs but it is approximately a half mile or more from it. they have free shuttle buses running around the clock from the hotels to the casinos.
as far as which one to choose, depends on which gives you a better deal.
there is no difference as far as ammenities offered by either one.
there are also other casinos nearby with rooms available with shuttles running from one casino to the other all the time.
there are a chit load of casinos there, google tunica casinos and you can obtain all kinds of info on hotels in the area.
i have 2 nights free at harrahs casino. my boss got that for me thru comps he gets there.
thats all i am planning on staying there, come to think of it maybe i should have asked for a few more nights, you never know what kinda action might come up :grin:
