Turn Down HP2 Shaft

Hello Guys
I am thinking of turning down my hp2 shaft to 12 mm because i have small hands and small fingers.
Has anyone done this?
Is this a risk for the shaft to warp ?

So I like the way some of the Mezz cues look but I've never owned one or any Mezz products for that matter,
so I took this opportunity to educate myself a little and I called Mezz USA with your question. They don't recommend it. .
While it may not warp or anything like that it's engineered to be at least 12.5 and to take it down like that would cause the
shaft to be "compromised" and it would likely shatter or the ferrule would break. So it can be done, but it's not a good idea
 
I have changed ferrules on quite a few Mezz shafts, and removing 0.5mm of material will compromise the ferrule. If you want a thinner shaft, buy a WX900, it's 12.0mm right out of the box.
