Very dissappointed that the KOH series will not be shown on OLN in Canada.
When I first heard that it was to air on OLN I was happy because we get
OLN with our cable package here in Vancouver, But after visiting the OLN
website I see that the program schedule is different for Canada and it is
not going to be shown here.
If anyone finds otherwise, please let me know.
Thanks.

I guess that somewhat takes the Interational out of the International Pool Tour

Does anyone know if it will be shown in the UK? Since the UK is one of the largest representative countries on the IPT I would have thought they would try and do a TV deal of some sort. I heard a rumour about Channel 5.

Hi AZer's,

Could someone tell me what standing OLN are in in the States please?

I'm from the UK and I've heard of NBC etc, but who are OLN and how widespread/common is their coverage.

I'm not really interested in stats in this particular instance, more an objective native view, if possible.

Thanks in advance,
Big Dave.

Hey Riggers, good to see you here too! :D

OLN is the Outdoor Living Network. It is a cable only channel, not a regular broadcast network. Still, pretty much anyone in the country who has cable or satallite tv has it available. That is the large majority of households.
Pool...played indoors....Outdoor Living Network?
Oh, well......any coverage is good coverage!

OLN also has hockey...they were the only ones who wanted it after the strike. They are trying to expand their base to compete with ESPN. They are going after more "second tier" sports. Those are sports outside the top four, Baseball, Football, Basketball, and Hockey. They interviewed some executives when they signed on with the NHL. They emphasized going after racing and softball and soccer to build a fan base outside of fishing and hunting. NASCAR and golf are now bigger draws than professional hockey and climbing fast. Maybe billiards will get a bigger audience if it is marketed right. The reputation of billiards is not much higher than used car salesmen right now. I am hopeful but not optimistic yet. :)

Yeahhhhh........... the IPT will be shown LIVE on eurosport!! Europ' s fans are very very happy!!
