Just thought that I would share the good time that I had last night and a couple of the shots that I made. It was free pool last night at my local bar and I was able to hold the table most of the night -- only losing two games in about 5 hours.
Get this, even though pool was free -- two times during the night -- everyone there at the time quit playing. I had to feel for them, because I ran the table many times and even when I got into bad situations, I was able to shoot my way out of them.
Here are two different games where I got into trouble on the 8-ball. The first one, I was near the end of a break-and-run and left myself behind one of my opponents balls. I had to shoot practically a full table masse shot and ended-up making the eight where called. (I think that I angled the cue at least 45 deg. for this shot).
The second 8-ball shot I think that my opponent ran down to leave only one ball -- and when running my balls I kissed into the 8-ball and ended-up in the situation depicted. (I hope I displayed this one correctly -- but I think I got it about right). The bank was too tight to bank into the side pocket, so I shot a masse bank that went into the center of the corner pocket.
I made quite a few other great bank shots last night, but I thought that I would just post the most notable 8-ball shots. I'm really not that great of a player, but on a barbox I seem to be able to take my game to a different level sometimes.
After I lost my first game after holding the table for about 2 hours, the people in the bar actually clapped for me. (That's the first time that that has ever happened -- and it felt great). Just thought that I would share a night where I really couldn't do too much wrong and I was able to make one incredible shot after another. I hope these days continue. Regards.
