I sure like Keith's bracket, he got a good draw, IMO. What's the guys name that is representing AzBilliards? Good luck to both of you. Peace, John.

You are kidding, right ? The bottom of bracket 1 has to be the toughest bracket on the board.

There are several past US Open champions:
Buddy Hall, Earl strickland, Ralph Soquet and then you got James Walden, Shannon Daulton, McCready, Dee Adkins and Fabio Petroni. When I first saw that bracket I said to myself, thats one tough freakin bracket. But fortunately for Keith they are all at the top.

I didn't see any Japanese players in the brackets. I also didn't see Wu. Maybe he has a mid-term? :-)

John

Maybe he's scared of losing his Southwest cue again,he lost it when he was in the World Pool Master tournament.

But the good thing is that he found it back.

Thank You

Rick

A guy I play in alot of these local tourneys here in TN , is playing this year.....he is pretty tough, His name is Rick Bingham. He is from Kentucky , and his first draw is EFFREN.......I just about laughed my self to death over his draw.

Like I said he is a tough cookie, but Effren should stroll with out even noticing Rick LOL

BUT ANYWAYS.......GOOD LUCK RICKY!!!!!! :D :D :D

I guess I should have said that I like his first 4 possible matches in his bracket.

Anyone else?

Having trouble with the 'back' button once they are in
the brackets where it doesn't work? I have to close
the window clear out and go back in to see other
parts of the bracket.

Also, Do they mark the break box on the tables, or
are they just defined by the diamonds?

Also, Is putting the '9' on the spot within the rules
for 9 ball?

The break box is drawn on the table. There's a WEI diagram below. Putting the 9 on the spot is within the rules for the Open, cause that's what they're doing....

I'm not sure but I did talk to Rodney Morris and he said his first match is at 9 P.M. tonight. I also spoke with Pablo Matheau, A.K.A., Tarantula here in the forum and his first match isn't til tomorrow.

Full field of 256 players, eh ? How many tables are there at the venue ? Close to 20 I guess.

Go Immonen ! Go Ohtonen ! Go Finland ! :D

16 tables. All tables are Diamonds, which have tight, deep-shelved pockets. The cloth is electric blue for all the tables this year, not just the TV tables. Apparently, Barry liked the tennis US Open's blue courts, and thought the blue cloth would aid in visibility. I must admit, I like it, although I'm still trying to get adjusted to playing with the Aramith TV ball set. I've already managed to play shape for the wrong ball a couple of times....
