Ultraskin question

The other day I ordered six of them. Two pro soft, two medium and two hard. The two PS are for a friend. My question is which one is more like a Sniper?

I noticed that the M id's a little softer than a Sniper and the H is a little harder than one. I was thinking of starting with the hard, but wouldn't mind opinions either

I'd go with the medium and take a few layers off of it when installed. I usually took half the tip off when I was using them. It may harden up just a tad for you. If not cut her off and go with the hard. The tips play great for a layered tip.

Thanks

I have two players with 314-2s on them, but one has a changed out ferrule that's a little harder than what they use. I think I'll put the medium on that one.

For the price I don't think you can really knock them..

They do harden up so I would use the medium and abuse it and it should harden up to where you want it.... When I used to play Le Pro's 25 years ago I would take the cueball and use it like a hammer and beat the tip in. Some guys used real hammers... We actually have a break tip called the SOLID that requires the same treatment because you do not know what you have until it beats in to it's final shape and hardness...

The ultraskin is treated with a urea hardening agent to help with consistency so it is going to be malleable but once you get it set it should hold its shape and be consistent.. Will just need some maintenance when it glazes which is the norm for layered tips.....
