Hello,

I am looking to see if anyone has any advice on which method for installing this collar has better results:

A. Just a solid wood tennon
B. A wood tennon sleeved with ABS
C. A wood tennon sleeved with phenolic

Or any other helpful advice?

This will also use the Uni-Loc quick release pin. Using the thin walled collar to have the stainless look but less weight than the threaded full collar.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
 
I haven't personally done a thin walled SS collar but the ones that I've seen and played with were sleeved over phenolic.
 
When I install them I sleeve them with Phenolic or Ivorine.

I also scrape up the inside of the collar and make the fit as tight as I can
(.0005" - .001") so I am pressing the collar on and not relying on the glue alone.
