unique machinery

Who in their right mind would pay $5000 for that used junk. If you really wanted those toys you could by them for alot less directly from the manufacturer for alot less new.

i guess this guy realized that it's impossible to make cues with toy machinery, and now he's trying to make a huge profit on what he has, and with zero feedback at that

Homer, I had to learn the hard way. Its not good form to call Billiard equiptment junk regardless of who makes it. It's ok to have an opinion, everyone does, but be more constructive in your post. I too think that desktop equiptment is very expensive but Im tyring to be patient as I know my day will come. I think all manufactures have relative comparisons in their product. Some make their living at this which is all together different than someone doing this as a compasionate hobby. As a business proposition $5,000 is nothing. As a hobbist, that's a lot of JACK!

Equipment Serial Numbers

The Serial Numbers match the location and the Name on the User ID through ebay... Not sure about this being a scam, nor the seller, but definately the person whom bought these pieces of equipment.

Although I'm not a fan of small machinery I believe your comments are a bit harsh to say the least. After all, a cue could be probably made with a spokeshave and certainly could be made on a wood lathe. These smaller machines are good for hobbyist and others who don't have the room for larger, heavier equipment. One of the assets to these machines is you don't need much experience before hand and can jump right in as they are, more or less, plug and play plus they all come with a video showing your basic steps and you get guidance in the future from the maker.

Ernie G. started making cues with a lathe put together from sewing machines. Guess we all would like to have one of those Ginacues now. Jim and Brian from Unique are good guys and they try hard to please. As earlier stated, such as statement is bad form.

Just my 2 cents

I am just new to trying to construct cues with some equipment I purchased for a gentleman getting out of the hobby. Let me tell you with no real experience on a metal lathe, and the issues with planning your operations... I would say those two machines and the stock would be a steal at that price. I have worked with Unique's equipment at my friend's house and not only are they easy to use, they are dead nuts if you take care of them... Not to mention if you needed to ship them it would be alot less than the bridgeport lathe I bought and easier to handle. I would say it is good buy and relatively inexpensive when you look at what all he is offering... And if you think it is a scam just contact him... Just my 2 cents...

I've never heard of a Bridgeport lathe. But since you have one just who is it made by?

I believe they bought out some other companies. Been making them since at least 1995. Very expensive and very good.
