Any of you guys heard about or played with this new universial shaft? just wondering about the hit quality of a shaft that has removable collars to fit all cues. Nice Idea but how can they guarantee that the insert you screw in is perfect?

Where can i find such universal shaft? Of course, i guess its not that necessary considering the cue butt out lasts the shaft by a lot more time.
ive seen ads for it in the last 2 inside pools........but thats it. I was wondering about the universal collar too, sounds like theyre just marketing what you can already get, a shaft made to fit your cue lol. Although seems like i recall from the ad it was made out of some kind of fabric fibers or something, and you could get a lighter tip on it a la predator 314.
Because you can try the insert in your cue before you tighten it on the shaft ( you can only do it ONCE on the shaft ).
Bill let me try the shafts at the BCA convention. His low deflection kind ( light ferrule ) does the job. The other kind with a thicker taper and a regular threaded/capped ferrule hits harder and has more cueball squirt.
You need to try both and make up your mind which one you like better.
The collar is about .840" in diameter.

I've seen it in person and its an interesting idea. I've heard both good and bad about it. I know there is the LS (low-squirt) and the RS models. Iknow its not for me, because I'm a fan of using the cue-makers shafts.
