Anyone know if you can buy these things separately from the shaft? I'm looking for one for a Viking QR.

I poked around the net with my mad searching skills for all of 10 minutes (lol) and unfortunately couldn't find either a Viking adapter nor a blank adapter that could be machined.
Anyway, I saw in another thread that you are willing to have the shaft enhanced to change the joint entirely. I'd suggest that's possible if you can a willing cue smith to do it. Or perhaps they can fabricate an adapter for you.
If you don't have one locally, I'd suggest giving Seybert's a call (1-877-314-2837) to see if their machinest can do it. Seyberts uses the services of a specific local cuesmith, so they would just be the frontman so to speak.
I would suggest that the problem you might run into is having somebody warrenty their work. The USS isn't as popular as the various other shafts, so they may not feel as comfortable predicting how durable the work will be with an unfamiliar cue. The Seyberts guy is suppossed to be really experienced, so maybe it's a non-issue.
Oh, also forgot to add... You can also query in the "Ask the Cuemaker" forum to see if you can get any bites... If you haven't already.

Thanks. Did he have just the adaptors spare, or did you have to buy the shaft as well?
