Unknown cheap grey-stained cue- anyone recognise it please?

Hello,
I've been offered this cue for next to nothing (the equivalent of around $30 including shipping) and I'm wondering whether I should buy this cue or not. I like the grey stained maple look (my main Bear playing cue is the same colour) and the shaft doesn't seem to have any chalk marks etc. Does anyone happen to recognise the design at all? I presume the points are ivorine decals or something like that? Unfortunately these are the only photos I have of the cue. I realise that for this price it's not going to be the world's greatest cue but if it has a real linen wrap rather than a nylon one (any thoughts on this please?) then it may do just fine for my brother who's just starting to play the game and is looking for a very cheap starter cue.

Thanks for looking,
Chris (Chrstc).

Looks like a "Players" brand to me.

Hello,
Thanks for the reply!
I did have a look at several cheaper ranges of cues including Players before posting but couldn't find it in the current range. If you or anyone else can confirm that it is a Players or whatever I'd love to find the model number to track down some more details.

Thanks again,
Chris (Chrstc).

Shameless bump to the top! Please help if you can!

Thanks alot,
Chris (Chrstc).

Sorry to let you down, but you a peice of Asian Crapola there, just look at the shaft wood, the designs appear to be decals.

The pusg in bumper is another dead give a way, I bet if you pull the bumper out that there will either be a weight bolt that either uses a allen wrench or a Philips Screw driver if there is a bolt in the cue

Don't be a Cue snob!

I don't think you are letting anyone down. He said it's $30 including s/h. Of course it's an Import.
If they say its straight and undamaged. It should make a fine starter cue.

Hi everyone,
Thanks very much for the replies. Yes I realised the cue was going to be an import- wasn't expecting to find a Szamboti for that price! Sometimes I think some Americans forget how hard we Brits have it in our pool clubs anyway- our house cues are so bad that almost any bottom-of-the-line 2 piece will be a huge improvement! Still all things considered, and as no-one has been able to identify the cue perhaps I'll leave it and try and find another starter cue for him elsewhere.

Thanks again for all your help people!

Chris (Chrstc).
