Thought I would post a few pics out here just for fun. Any folks interesting in cues (or experts) care to offer their opinion?

Tough call there Sean...but it does look like it has a very nice piece of BEM...

Sean,
nice-looking 4 pointer"
post pics of the shaft, the joint-end showing the insert construction may help...

That would give it away. :) Wondering if anyone out there can tell from the prong and overall asthetics of the cue. {hint...5/16-18 pin, piloted, with brass inserts in shaft}

Looks like a Richard Black to me...

Looks like an older 6 window Richard Black cue. I estimate it in the late 70's.

How is that?

My Guess

Either a Craig Petersen ( without checking the joint collar or butt bumper) or a Verl Horn?

Although the McDaniel you had at the DCC threw me for a loop.
(If you don't remember I was the one with the Tascarella in the Brown Cenntennial case) It was a pleasure meeting you guys

Paul, yeah, I remember you. You talking about that old McDaniel with the 4 ivory windows? If I hadn't been standing there when Bill told us he made it, I'd swear that cue was a Gus. Heck, in the back of my mind I still think it is....maybe he used one of Gus' prongs and forgot.

Raist, no, this one isn't really for sale.

Well if it don't have a "CP" how can it be a Petersen.. I hear there is someone saying that its the only way to identify one. But wait.. let me get my handy dandy third edition Blue Book and see what they say about authenticating it.

BB3.. see.. LOL , ROTFLMAO.. HAHAHHAHAHA..

Damn did I have the blue book or Mad Magazine.

without seeing a closeup of the miters in the veneers,,,that's a craigy. it's a generic design, but those are his rings, and a close look at the quality of the veneer work would cinch my guess.

flip it 90*, and i can tell for sure

b4 bm went cnc he probably built more q's which were sold as GS's than G did.not by design. also, bm has a steel trap mind--the only things he's forgotten are those he didn't want to remember:)
