The floating points are possibly crushed bone from looking at them under magnification the joint collar is the same material
The shaft is stamped with what appears to be jc ?. The cue is standard lengrh

Given that this section is "Ask The Cuemaker", just what might your question be ?
In the absence of a question, all we can do is speculate on what you've stated.
I believe that your 'JC' identity mark may actually be 'JQ'.
There are also considerable sanding marks in that area.
That could be remedied and probably should be since the taper of the shaft's jnt.collar
is backwards where it meets the handle. Without a question, all we can do is critique.

Sorry for the confusion. I was just making a play on the name "Jerry McWorter", a very well respected cue builder. It was a stupid joke, so my apologies for causing confusion.

Do his cues sell for much

The one I posted was made by John Koernke from Englewood, Florida. I believe he passed around 2008. He managed the pool hall and made a few cues. Not sure how many are out there. I've seen three or four.
