There is a VIP party with a buffet to meet the players at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 6, 2004, to kick off the championship.

Only $10 per session? Does not say much for the drawing power of these pros. Unless there are more than two sessions in a day. But from what I have seen that is about all that the traffic will bear. A sad state in the World of pool.

Too bad the two most popular players aren't allowed to play.

The VIP party sounds like a good idea. I hope the players come with plenty of pictures to give out and be prepared to autograph them and anything else the "paying" customers want autographed.

It will be interesting to see how the UPA will manage to screw up what seems like an ideal opportunity for them.

I took a ride to the Bicycle Club the other day to see what was actually happening. Seems there are 2 sessions a day at 10.00 each. In their advertising all the best players will be there. Since I have not seen a mens tourney in 5 years I am really looking forward to it. And watch parking - after turning on to Eastern the first parking lot is for VIP with pass cards and Valet. The second lot is just past the club. Dont know the cost to park.
