After almost a year of being in UPA finally I have recived something from them. It is contract renewal form. I'm not sure whether I should sign up again just to give them another $100 bucks and never heard from them again?
Hi, Bazarus. Isn't it amazing that we all received communication from the UPA after a thread runs on this forum about the lack thereof.

We should have started a thread about the UPA's lack of communication a long time ago, I guess. This forum is one way to communicate with the UPA as it is obvious they read and, of course, as Cuetone suggests, you should have known that you could call the UPA since they didn't bother to keep you informed throughout the duration of your membership.
On the six-tournament UPA Tour, if you were not "invited" or "selected" by the UPA player representatives or World Class Management to compete in the BCA Open in Vegas, the UPA ranking points won't do you much good, Bazarus, this UPA season.
Those who did attend the BCA Open received UPA ranking points and will continue to stay on the top of the UPA ranking list, enabling them to compete in high-profile tournaments next year.
Those who did not attend the invitational BCA Open will not be able to qualify for BCA Open in Vegas or WPC next year since the UPA ranking points are currently used as the qualification vehicle.
Hopefully, Matchroom Sport will take notice of the extreme injustice that has presented itself to all the UPA members, with the exception of the UPA player representatives and their friends who are in the loop and kept abreast of the latest happenings in the UPA.
As you know, Bazarus, many other UPA members, just like you, have not had one piece of communication since they donated their $100 to the UPA and signed a legally binding contract for membership to a men's organization to promote pool. The tour is a joke.
Other than receiving this communication in one year's time of duration, what else have you benefitted from pertaining to your UPA membership?
I think you can answer your own question about whether to send the UPA another $100. It does help keep the organization afloat, which I hear is broke at this time, and it does help to offset costs that the player representatives incur traveling to various UPA-sanctioned events.
If you would like to support the men's organization, you should donate your $100. If you want to play pool in a real tour, other than the 6 events, 4 of which are promoted by Dragon Productions which is owned by a UPA player representative, I'd suggest you save your cash.
See you at the Open, Bazarus!
