Upcoming BCA tournament Feb 28th in Vegas, a couple questions

I will be competing on a mens 8 ball team at the upcoming BCA tournament in Las Vegas. We will be there between Feb 28 to Mar 4th. I believe play for our division is March 1st thru the 4th. I've never done this tourney before so don't know what to expect in terms of the format, (hours of play), how to schedule things other than tournamant play, etc.

I ask this because I understand they will be having some pro level tournaments at the same time/place and I'd like to possibly book some private lesson time with a high level player if it's feaseable. I'd be interested in anyone's thoughts on this, is it possible & how to orchestrate it.

Thanks.

Contact the player you want to get some lessons with in advance on Facebook.

A lot of pros will be in town those two weeks: SVB v Chohan (19-21st), Predator Vegas Open 10 Ball (22-25/26 – I see two different end dates given), Vegas Women’s Open 10 Ball (24-27), WPA World 10 Ball (28 -4th), 3-Cushion World Cup (26th – 4th).

Kinda doubt you're going to get lessons during an event. Might contact to book later tho.

As above, I don't think the pros ae going to be booking lessons during the tournament, but some of them do put on clinics and shows as part of the contract with sponsors or with the event hosts. In several of the events I went to they had a tables setup for this, although some of these events were tied to Junior Nationals as well so they were there for the kids as well. SVB did some things on a table outside the main hall in one event, they had a room with 4-5 pros in another playing with the kids.

Some of them will be out after the third round. They might be thankful for students, schedules permitting. Can't hurt to ask.

If someone does arrange lessons, the new room with all Rasson tables is pretty nice. Kind of out of the way but much nicer than some of the alternatives.

There will also be some instructors there.
