update on "most perplexing prop shot"

CueTable Help

What do you have to do in the shot? Are all the balls frozen to the rail or just near the rail?
all 3 frozen to rail, make either ball using draw so that the c.b. comes back to contact the other frozen ball-just merely contact it. It's about 95% impossible. I made it once using elevated cue, masse with bottom inside.

No, it's 95% makable....BUT I too was fooled for a while. As noted in the other thread, I put my bridge hand between the back ball and the CB causing a higher than necessary angle of attack at the CB, which caused some combination of swerve and jump which is what makes the shot so hard.

But when I bridged BEHIND the back ball and used rail side english I made the shot routinely and almost made the back ball a couple of times as well.

Better start out betting a dollar to see if the mark knows the shot!!

Buy BE CAREFUL. An unscrupulous guy could lose a few bucks to you and then bet $100 that he can do it 4 out of 5 times and rob you!!
