Hello Everyone!
I hope everyone is having a good week so far. As some of you know, I recently took second in the Regional Tour Championships at Hardtime Billiards in Bellflower, Ca. I gave it my all but I just ran out of steam in the finals and the girl played great! No excuses whatsoever and I wish her all the best in the WPBA.
Sadly, I won't be able to attend many of the stops and there is a great possibility that I won't be able to play the WPBA this year entirely. I wish I can but as of right now, I want to finish school so I can actually play on the WPBA just like how my sister, Michelle Rakin and my long time friend, Eleanor Callado, have done.
There was a bit of controversy going on about my performance in the RTC finals. I knew that coming into this tournament would mean making a big decision on whether or not I want to play in the WPBA this year or not. I basically put that decision aside and played my game without no worries....
I was so excited about making it to the finals...due to the fact that there was so many great players and having a very low confidence issue about my game, I was greatly surprised how far I came in that event.
I don't know who started this whole issue about dumping the finals and I want to make this clear....I DID NOT DUMP. My head wasn't in the right place, knowing that I have midterms the following week and worrying about my fiance with his medical condition and not being there to take care of him. Excitement and stress took over.
Chang played very well and my game was not as strong as I wanted it to be. Actually, I didn't even know that money for second place was higher than first til I received my check for second place.
I wanted to win so badly. It's not even about the money to me...I always wanted the title more than the money. Money comes and goes but the title will always be there and no one can take that away from no one.
Overall, I just wanted to let everyone know my side about the whole "dumping" issue. I am sorry if someone got the wrong message from me with my performance in the finals but as of some of you who watched the finals, you knew that Chang was playing great and she truly deserved to win...especially after the way I was playing hehe:wink:

PS: Congrats to all the girls who got their Tour cards. I wish you guys all the best!
