Well it all depends on various things.
If you want the best results with all the bells and whistles:
Get Adobe Premier Pro 2.0, it will capture any type of video from any raw format (so long as u know what ur doing)
and
Get Cleaner 5 (or higher) to get any type of output and protocol. ie: wmv via http or mms, mov, mpg, avi, and so forth. Oh yeah, it allows u to reduce file sizes with gr8 video results. Definitely helps in web based management scenarios.
I have these two programs and worked on Video Encoding for some odd years and both are gr8 together in giving u more options and producing gr8 results. Bad side, you really at least need to know the basics of video encoding.
Movie Maker works well for novice projects, not only that.... it's free! You may not have all the bells and whistles, but will get the basics done.
Problem is, Big file sizes, and if ur planniing to stream it from a web server, watch for ur hosting bills to go WAY up.
