I saw Ron Park on the list.. Is it the same one I am thinking of I did not think he was considered an amateur.

When was he ever considered anything but an amateur? He plays in a lot of our local tournaments and wins some and loses some. I know he won the US Amateur back in '94.

Pretty strong. Maybe not Archer like, but he placed higher than a lot of pros in a lot of tourneys.

When do you lose your AM status? Is there a cash amount you cant go over? Or if you are in the cash in almost every event you enter?
 
No question about him being strong! He'll fare well at this event unless he runs into a buzz saw. Watch Patrick Tobin and Daniel Gambill who are both from the same area as Parks. Gambill has been in the top five the last few years. All of the final 32 this year looks like a tough field!
