According to the paperwork Players Registration is Friday November 9th at 9am-10am & play starts and 10:30am. For anyone who has ever played or is in the know, do you have to be there for player registration if you're already qualified and paid? How is the tournament run, as in, is Friday going to be winners bracket only and if you lose you will not play until Saturday (like how the National BCA tournament is) or will they keep both winners and losers sides going throughout the day Friday.

I've got a scheduling conflict and would have to change flight times & cities. I'm ok with having to forfeit first match if I can make it to the second one.

I played last year and was lucky enough to get in again this year. The registration was mandatory as you had to fill out waivers and such. I would try to contact the office and see if you can provide that information in advance to avoid that. Depending on what time you can get there, you may not have to forfeit at all(or you may forfeit both). I was the very first match on the bracket last year and played my first match right after the players meeting/rules announcement. There are 14 tables at Strokers and 64 matches to get through in the first round alone - so there were some SERIOUS breaks between matches. My 2nd match wasnt until much later in the day (I had time to go see a movie, eat dinner at Outback, check out some local shops and still had 2 hours to spare when I got back to the site). My 3rd match was first thing in the morning the following day.

edit: there were both winners and losers side matches going as far as I could tell after the first round of matches on day 1.

I went in 2010 and played 3 matches in one day with a loss in the second. This is a different venue so I'm not sure but if you have to miss the first day don't make the trip unless you're willing to spectate.

From what I remember the players registration was mandatory even though I know they called out matches later for people that did not show up.

GL to you if you're able to make it. I had a blast and would love to do it again if work permits.

JoJo - PM me your name(or share it here) and I will look you up down there. Maybe I can watch your match while i am waiting 4 hours for my next ones:):boring2:

My name is Preston Hollis. I'm going to contact my LO today and see if he can help me out. I'm returning from a cruise the morning of November 9 down in Miami and will be several hours via car(unless I can find a flight that would be quicker). I'll change my flight to fly out of Tampa instead of Ft Lauderdale if I can at least make my second match. Hopefully I'll see you down there.
