US Amateur Open

I might make it there, but I note that the tournament will have up to 200 players and that it's only a three day event. Does anyone know how many tables they're going to have? From the length of the one-loss side matches (race to three? WTF, Charlie?) I somehow suspect that its not going to have a lot of tables and that this will be another marathon affair. Any info anybody?

It's very short races.
From the website, it appears there are many tables at the venue.
I've never been, so I can't say for sure.

Could someone recommend a hotel in Jacksonville?
It can be rough in some areas of the city.

where is the location info? The last event like this I attended was pretty bad, it was on really bad bar tables and poorly organized.

Well, I may have been fooled on the location.
I thought it was in the same building as the Pro 10 ball event.
Which is Bankshot billiards.
I may be wrong.
I'll call a little later and find out more.
