US Amateur Prelim Registration

Has anyone tried to or signed up for the 2024 USAM prelims? The website says that registration is open until 6/15/2023 but also says the event is closed.

Any insight or guidance is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

So they closed the prelims already? Last year I signed up in May to play in the prelims in September.

Yes but those Prelims qualified you for the event of the same year.

2023 Prelims happened last fall (2022). Weird catch up year I think because of those already qualified but couldn't play due to covid.

This year (post covid drama) was just handled differently

Thanks for the response guys. The national office just got back to me and confirmed that this is a catch up year, as you stated.
