Howdy Players, we will be having a US OPEN 9-ball Championships Qualifier

on June 20th, 2009, here at JR Pockets in Denton Tx. 76201 :thumbup:

All tables have been releveled and refelted, by Shane Johnston (Cuephoric)
All paid entries will play, there will be no standby list
Races to 7 on winners and 5 on the one loss side
Final will be one race to 9
For every 25 paid entries one winner will have the 600.00 entry, paid for.
ie: 50 players: the winner of the bracket will get one spot at the US Open and the last two on the one loss side will play for the second spot.

Howdy Dainese, good question, well with 25 players and house added money 1450.00 paid out, we are still working on some sponsership inquires, but it would leave atleast around 800 or so to be divded among the remaining places including last lady, if some come out to play, and our mini tourny for the players who go 2 and out. Also there will be a player auction.

As stated in the original post, there will be no standyby list if you pay the entry you will play in this US Open qualifier.

If you win a spot in the U.S Open, do you HAVE to play in it or can you take the cash? I would love to play,but might not be able to go to Virginia.

Howdy, the spot in the US Open has already been paid for, just waiting for the name to be put in. After the winner has been determined and summited, it will be that persons' decision on what happens with the spot in the US 9-ball Open.
The US 9-ball Open is not untill October 18th-24th, over 4 months away, more than enough time to get plans ready, in order to go. :happydance:
For many players this could be a once in a-life-time :thumbup:shot at playing with the pros in one of the most prestigious events, for golfers if you had an entry in to the Masters or Open would you just let it slip by , I would think not.

You could sell it to someone else. At least Kennan might let you do that if you knew the name of the person to put on the entry. Totally up to Kennan though, so check with him.
