US Open Qualifier in North Texas $50 Entry

It was a great tournament loaded with talent. Some of the notable names were Bill A., Tony Sulsar, Robert Clark, John R., Robert N., and of course Chen.

I had to play Tony my second match and the match started off with 3 break and runs from each of us. Then, I made 2 mistakes that cost me the other 4 games. D'oh!!

It was still fun and I even got to play our very own Joe Morin. I got lucky, and now I have the AZB bragging rights. LOL.

A very big thanks goes to Doc and Dave for running the tournament very smoothly.

JJ you played great and it was great to meet you!:grin-square: . I just couldn't close out the match. I hear that you maybe in line to play our new queen of az for the state of texas.....maybe I will see you in waco next weekend and we can have our own challenge match to say who gets to play her...:shrug:....just thought i would throw it out there...

This tournament was exactly why I started getting into running them. Just wanting to see and to be around great players/people.

I want to say thanks again to all the players and spectators for coming out and making this a great event. Also to Dave Selbrede and Kennan Keffer(CaptainK) for all of their help, they really made a difference in making this thing look professional. And last but not least, I really want to send a big thanks to Tanya at Clicks, she agreed to add $300 on 32 players. We only had 30 and she still added the full $300.

Bill Anderson - Spot at the US Open($600) and $600 cash
Jui Lung Chen - $300
Tony Sulsar - $200
Robert Clark - $100
