I think this is a great idea.
I have called for a Mosconi style warm up for years, suggesting a match of Team USA vs a team of Joss Tour stars and also a match of Team USA vs Mezz Tour stars. The match they've put together is clearly a step in the right direction for those preparing for Mosconi Cup play.
