USAPL and Fargo Ratings

I'm looking to see if anyone out there has any knowledge about the migration from LeagueSys to Fargo Rate as it relates to the USAPL.

When will this go live to all divisions? Will this year's nationals be using Fargo Rate?

How will the team limit be determined for weekly matches? Is it based on the total of the team's Fargo Ratings or the total ball count of the races?

I've watched the CSI podcasts and gotten some great info about Fargo Rate but only in relation to the BCAPL...

I play in a Masters league making the transition but am short on info as you.

Not sure when they will all go live but is in the process now. My understanding is Fargo will be used at the Nationals.

I missed the first week but the second week we got a rating on the scale of 4-10. During league play we raced to our number.

No limits that I am aware of just handicap. USAPL there was a team penalty if your team exceeded 100 points per player. Our league had a 60-125 range with 125 being begin the absolute top.

Our league only used games my first week (second week of play) in this session. Will be able to say more next week when the results for this week are known. Things should also start becoming clearer.

We'll see about the transition and I will ask about the BCA.

Hope this helps and makes a bit of sense. Wait and see I guess is the operative.

I can take some of this....

Currently a select few divisions are using FargoRate for the purpose of testing and fine tuning the system and the new software. The target date for a complete USAPL rollout is June 1, 2016 (beginning of the 2016-2017 league year).

This year's nationals will not use Fargo Ratings because most of the leagues will have played under the "Fairplay" system throughout the year. The 2016 USAPL Nationals will be conducted just as it has in the past.

At the same time, all of this play, including play at nationals, is being put into FargoRate. So when the button is pushed, many many players all over will be rated well and on the same scale. Nationals provides important region-to-region coupling data that insures this.

The new team limits with FargoRate will be determined by the total of the Fargo Ratings of the team members. A team may play over the
(set by the league manager) limit, but that team will incur penalty points in the match.

Thanks for your support, and in the coming weeks/months much more information will be released regarding the transition and the new software.
 
In addition to what Mike said, the latest intel I have is that all USAPL leagues will convert to Fargo rates on June 1, 2016. Matches will still be scored on a 14/0-7 game/ball count as they are now, but instead of racing to your USAPL handicap as you do now, the score you race to will be determined by your Fargo rate. Exact Fargo Rate to race count conversion to be determined.

Just finished our spring '16 session and were told that the June 1st date is pushed back. Looks like we're starting again with the old ball count handicaps. I'm guessing the scoring and ball count races were more a task to solve than initially thought... Here's hoping the migration is still short-term!
 
Now that the Nationals have passed, has there been any talk about the migration from the fairplay system to Fargo?
