I have a question about USAPL Team Requirements for Nationals.
Original Player
An "original player" was previously defined as someone who has played at least (8) weeks with the team in the spring session. That definition is now changed to someone who has played at least (8) weeks with the team in the final session of the calendar year (typically the fall session).
Teams at the USA Pool League National Championships are still required to have a minimum of two (2) original players. However, original players are no longer required to play the first two set s of each match. Although they are not required to play the first two sets, at least two (2) set s of the lineup must include original players.
So I take this to mean: All players must play 8 weeks in a single session in a single division. Two of the team members must be “Original” team members that have all played 8 weeks on the same team, in the same division, in the same session.
But where I get confused is the remaining 3 players. It says this:
Eligibility
All players must be active members of a USA Pool League and play a minimum of eight (8) weeks in a single division during the 2019 calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31, 20 19).
Teams (mixed - men & ladies)
So I take this to mean: The other three players can come from any division within the same league number, provided that they all have also played 8 weeks in a single session in a single division.
My team captain takes this to mean that the other three players must have played on our team during the spring and summer sessions in the same league.
Any of you league operators that can help clarify this I would appreciate it. We are trying to figure out who we can take to Nationals.

- Must have five (5) USA Pool League qualified players with a maximum roster size of eight (8) players.
- Must consist of at least two (2) original players. Two (2) sets of each match must be played by original players.
- Non-original players must have played eight (8) weeks with the same team in a single division during the 2019 calendar year (Jan 1 - Dec 31, 20 19).
