Hello All,
I just got back from the US Bar table championships in Reno this past week and decided to study/take notes as opposed to drink and gamble when not playing.
I made an effort to watch 3-4 matches of the following players:
SBV
Dennis
John Morra
Jason Shaw
Stevie Moore
What I noticed is each one of these players has a different stance, stroke, and PSR. However, the one thing they all had in common was their initial line-up. They all seem to line up the shot while standing then bend down to get in their stance. If any adjustment is needed, the entire process is usually restarted. With all of the different aiming systems out there, I'm surprised not much time is spent on this seemingly important fundamental thing.
BTW, John Morra has one of the prettiest strokes I've seen.
