To Mr. Craig Fales,

I said I had washed my hands of this matter and I was content to abide by that.
However, given a statement that you've made, I feel I must now re-enter in order to set the record straight.
You've made the statement that Lee could not build a cue without you having been present in his shop. I respectfully disagree and take exception to that statement.
Lee Malakoff is very capable of building cues and has been for at least the past 15 yrs that I'm aware of. You see, Lee and I go back about 20+ yrs now.
You, as well as many others, are acutely aware that Lee and I haven't exactly seen eye to eye on at least a couple of occasions so why would I of all people, now step forward to dispute your claim? Because I'm more about truth and accuracy in what's being presented to the forum than I am about choosing sides.

You're certainly welcome to recant your statement or offer the proof to support it. Please be advised that I can offer testimony to the fact that Lee was selling cues of his own making as far back as the early `90s at one of the last original 'Glass City Opens' held in Toledo. That's where I was first introduced to the Honorable Mr. Dennis Dieckman and if I recall correctly, Earl Strickland won the event.

Now, before you go getting all ballistic, let me remind you that I have done work for Lee as well as you have. I'm also very mindful of what he's capable of.
A prime example would be that you couldn't build a veneer cutting fixture such as he has without first knowing how to do points.

As I recently stated in a post to Lee, some things can get said in a heated discussion that wouldn't ordinarily be said. It's possible that is the case here.

Don't forget that I too have worked with Lee as far back as the late '80s. Pretty much the time Lee started getting interested in cues and such. If your memory is as good as mine I recall Lee catching all kinds of flack for selling cues he claims he made from scratch. Only until 2002ish was he actually able make a cue from scratch. My big problem with Lee is that he has turned on me multiple times like flipping a switch . I've come to the conclusion he that he values no one but himself.
As far as whenever someone comes on here again with a rant about him (and you know it's going to happen again) I'll keep quiet. I have done so about a lot of posts he's made and other people that have had problems. Lee lives in a delusional world and I guess there's no changing it.
I know my posts reflect my angst with the past problems between him and me so you'll hear no more from me about it. My only wish is for Lee to understand how much damage he does to himself with all this, only time will tell.
